Arrival: You will meet and greet with one of our office representatives at Julius Kambarage Nyerere International Airport or from the seaport from Zanzibar or from the shuttle bus shuttle terminal and he will drive to the Lodge/Hotel where your safari start and stays with bed & breakfast.

Day 1: Dar es Salaam – Selous: You will be picked up from your Lodge/Hotel at 7:30 am in Dar Es Salaam city center and proceed to Selous Game Reserve with picnic lunch boxes, Late afternoon, on a boat safari along the mighty Rufiji River, You will discover the Rufiji River by boat, encounter hippos, and crocodiles in good numbers. Some 350 bird species have been recorded in the Selous Game Reserve. These are typical of Miombo woodlands, and the birdlife supported by Rufiji swampland is of particular interest. Dinner and overnight at the Tented Camp/Lodge/Campsite.

Day 2: Game Drive – Selous Game Reserve After breakfast, you will have a full-day tour of the Selous Game Reserve exploration of the Reserve by 4-wheel drive vehicle. The Selous Game Reserve is the largest in Africa, covering 54,600 square kilometers. The reserve gets its name from the hunter and explorer Frederick Courtney Selous. He was killed here during World War 1. Selous is famous for elephants. Other species commonly seen are lions, wild dogs, buffaloes, bushbuck, impalas, elands, baboons, zebras, and greater Kudus. It was originally set aside as a hunting area where animals are abundant but shyer than the Northern Parks. Excursions by 4×4 vehicles will permit you to have good photographic opportunities and the chance to explore different sections of the vast park. Dinner and overnight in the Tented Camps/Lodge/Campsite.

Day 3: Walking Safari in Selous: After early breakfast, another day in the Selous Game Reserve. You will start with an early morning walking safari, followed by a game drive with your picnic lunch. Walking safari will give you a particularly intimate feel for the African wilds. It starts in the morning with the guidance of an armed ranger and takes 2 hours before you meet the driver at the reserve gate. Walking safaris offer a good chance of seeing giraffes, zebra, elephants, and good birding. Dinner and overnight at Tented Camp/Lodge/Campsite.

Day 4: Selous Game  – Dar es Salaam After your breakfast, we will drive back to Dar es Salaam with a picnic lunch and you will be dropped at your Lodge/Hotel. End of tour.
